Historic Midtown

The Midtown Neighborhood Association, established in 1989, has a mission to promote and preserve the character and quality of living in the Midtown Neighborhood, including Springfield's largest nationally registered historic district. We strive to do this through a variety of events designed to bring neighbors together and bring the rest of the city to Midtown.

When one thinks of Midtown, beautiful, old houses normally come to mind. Old homes might be our anchor to this historic part of Springfield, but it's the people that have chosen to live here that make it a neighborhood.

Many things bring us together, but it's the love of this area and the sense of well being and community that hold us here.

The Midtown Neighborhood Association scholarship program

For the 8th year, the Midtown Neighborhood Association is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship for a high school senior going on to further their education at a two or four year college or university. While it is not a requirement, students that attend local institutions (Drury University, Missouri State University and Ozarks Technical Community College) will be given special consideration. Applicants may be attending any Springfield high school or home school. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION
